I visited Utah this year and oh my goodness everyone was raving about these famous SWIG sugar cookies which I personally had never heard of. I tried them thinking they would be just your average sugar cookie. I was wrong though they were AMAZING! They were thicker, softer, fluffier, and had these perfect imperfect edges which made them unique. They were topped with a pretty pink frosting and I was sold!
So obviously I had to come home and figure out a knock off version since I don’t live in Utah or near a Swignsweets!
This recipe is pretty much exactly how I remember them tasting. I made a few changes to it because it needed a few adjustments. I think you’ll love it. Even if you haven’t had these famous cookies this will be a cookie you will impress everyone with.
If you do visit Utah they are definitely worth buying!
